The gift of water is a Sadaqah Jariyah that can transform communities and save lives. In Pakistan, the struggle for clean water is a daily reality for millions. According to a 2025 report by the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), approximately 80% of the population in certain regions, particularly Tharparkar, Umerkot, and Badin, lack access to clean and safe drinking water. These areas are hit hardest by severe water scarcity due to their desert landscapes and limited infrastructure. Women and children often walk for miles each day to fetch water from contaminated sources, a time-consuming and dangerous task that prevents them from attending school or earning a livelihood. This cycle of poverty and disease is a direct result of the water crisis.
Inspired by the words of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), who said, “The best charity is providing water,” the Junaid Ahmed Foundation is dedicated to bringing this vital resource to those who need it most. We believe that clean water is the foundation of a healthy community, leading to improved health, better education, and sustainable livelihoods.
We are working tirelessly to install hand pumps in the most critical areas, including Tharparkar, Badin, and Mirpurkhas. We’ve successfully installed 564 hand pumps in the Mirpurkhas district alone, benefiting over 150 families and saving them from the arduous journey for water.

564+ Hand Pumps: We’ve installed over 564 hand pumps across the arid regions of Tharparkar, Umerkot, and Badin. This vital work provides clean, safe drinking water, transforming the daily lives of over 150 families who no longer have to endure long and dangerous journeys for this basic necessity.
10 Solar Water Projects: In our commitment to sustainable solutions, we have completed 10 solar-powered water projects in the districts of Badin and Tharparkar. These innovative systems ensure a reliable and clean water supply, even without electricity, bringing a source of hope to entire communities.
Community and Spiritual Upliftment
5 Mosques Built: We have proudly built and established five new mosques in the districts of Umerkot and Tharparkar. These mosques serve as essential community hubs, providing not only a place for worship but also a center for education and spiritual guidance.
7 Women’s Vocational Centers: Currently, we are in the process of building seven new vocational training centers for women in the Korangi district. These centers will empower women with valuable skills, enabling them to secure employment and build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
Nourishing Communities: Our Food Drives
Over 19 Million PKR in Food Aid: Since 2020, we have distributed over 19 million PKR worth of food rations to thousands of deserving families. This includes our annual Ramadan Ration Drive, Naimat-e-Iftaar, and Qurbani distributions, ensuring that no one is left hungry during times of celebration and hardship.
Winter Relief and Humanitarian Support
2 Winter Bazaars: We have successfully organized two major Winter Bazaars, distributing essential warm clothes to vulnerable communities. These events provide not only warmth but also dignity to families struggling to endure the cold.
